The bouzouki (/buːˈzuːki, bʊˈ-/,[1][2] also US/bəˈ-/;[3] Greek: μπουζούκι [buˈzuci]; alt. pl. bouzoukia, from Greek μπουζούκια), also spelled buzuki or buzuci, is a musical instrument popular in Greece
It is a member of the long-necked lute family, along with tzouras and baglamas, with a round body with a flat top and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard. It has steel strings and is played with a plectrum producing a sharp metallic sound, reminiscent of a mandolin but pitched lower. There are two main types of bouzouki: the trichordo (three-course) has three pairs of strings (known as courses) and the tetrachordo (four-course) has four pairs of strings. [Source: Wikipedia]

The title of the exhibition was Rebetiko Graffiti Vol.1 and it was hosted by Stray Art Festival 2020, in the Cultural Centre of Ano Syros, Greece. Rebetiko refers to the folk/underground music which flourished at the beginning of the 20th century in Greece. In Rebetiko Graffiti Vol.1, the instruments - "tools of the trade" - are heavily bombed with different graffiti styles, combined into an amalgam of both worlds.

Most of the artworks are created on plywood using spray paint, markers and acrylics. The 4-String Graffiti Bouzouki is an actual painted bouzouki and the Old School Bouzouki and Pirate Style Baglamas are illustrations on paper.
